Land of Make Believe

The Thatchers & me & my kids, decided that we needed an "End Of the Year BANG".
I love this place.  Its a small amusement park, in the small town of Hope, NJ and there is the perfect amount of stuff to do that you CAN do it all!  and its so young kid friendly, even the water park is cozy!
Why do we get a kick off of things that make us want to barf?
The Free-Fall drop!

Elizabeth and Lilo on the back of the roller coaster
Madeline, Hattie, Jameson, & Ellie
Err.. Matey... Ellie & her Pirate Ship thats in the water.
The whole main pool was about a foot deep with so much to play with.

Ellie & Jameson on Puff the magic Dragon.
Hattie as a skunk, Madeline a Princess, but changed into a Knight later on.  Ellie, a princess  & Jameson was a Knight.
Its allot of, they let anyone and everyone participate in this play.  There is a narrator, so we just do as he says.  Ellie as a princess, & I am a "Burger" a native from the land of "Noranburg".  I was hoping for the Olga, inspired by Aunt Yvonne, you can't tell, but I even had sausages that I used in defense against the knights!
Ellie & Jameson on a plane ride!
Saying "good-bye" to the L.O.M.B. Mascot!

Montana!

We had a relatively nice drive into Montana.  WE hit a dear and saw a whole mountain on fire!  With helicopters a planes and everything trying to put it out!  The drive back, about 4 hours was much, much more boring!
Fortine.
I was curious of the population of Fortine.  In 2005 it was around 230!  So I can't imagine what it was 25 years ago, when I lived there!
Right thru the doors behind us, was grandpas work shop.  I remember, while living there that after a big rain there was frogs or toads covering everywhere!  I help grandpa sweep them outside!  It was raining frogs!
This is the modernized home that grandpa and family made.... They should of kept it in a log cabin style!
EUREKA!
This is where I went to kindergarden!  I remember playing farmer and the Dale with my class, right on this side walk!
Grandpa Lifferth (mom's dad) tombstone.  Uncle Wes made it, absolutely beautiful!  It has all thirteen of the kids represented in to slates in between grandmas and grandpas, also the picture is of grandpa with his sons and a model airplane & grandma reading to the girls.
It was funny we were in Eureka getting pizza and I asked the guy there were the cemetery is and  he immediately asked if I was Henry Lifferts Kin.  Another great thing about small towns!
O' and we left him some Cinnamon bear on his stone, just felt like we should leave something, and we all know how he LOVEs sugar!

Dikie Lake - part of the Glacier National Park
Me and my nephew Jacob, the water was a clear as drinking water! I am standing and even in the ripples you can see the bottom!
Amy (Christian's sister) and her cute group came with us.

Back to I-daho, or U-da-ho? At Sunshine Mansion

Swimming at the public pool, $.50 for kids and $1.00 for adults.  I didn't have enough cash on me, they said "go ahead, we don't want you to miss out!' I would NEVER hear that in Jersey!

Talk about a room with a view!! This is off our bedroom.

A nice view from the cat-walk.
The grandkids all put on a performance for us in the carpeted garage.

Time for bed...

\All pooped out!
Jacob's 7!!
Family Home Evening

We rented bikes and took an amazingly beautiful scenic ride.
We rode over beautiful aqua rivers, so we had to stop and get our feet wet....
Or every part of our body!  Isn't that a cute white ars!?!
Christian Jacobs Crew, in front of a man-made waterfall, facing the front of the mansion.
the left-over Jacobs

The highlight of each first Monday of the month is that we have F.H.E. with all my moms side of the family, aunts & uncle, cousins, significant other and their kids, etc..  at my parents small A frame cabin above Sundance.  I just love being up there!  And of course I always have allot of catching up to do.  And Yes Zach, you are defiantly a highlight!  Rachel, I can't believe we didn't make time for each other, I guess you'll just have to come out!
