I was taking a box of Korean Pears out to the back deck to keep chilled and as I was setting it down, I felt this thing starring at me. I looked up and nearly had a heart-a-tack! It sat there for over an hour looking like a giant rat. What creeped me out even more, was when it disappeared, I had no idea where it was lingering!

It is a possum. his fangs where hanging out! and when he yawned his mouth opened 6 inches, I swear!
The pest control guy said he was probably living under my deck, sick! But my neighbor said they sometimes come over from the park. i hope shes right!
Opossums are scary looking, but luckily they are usually out only at night. They are quite cute though when you see a little line of babies hanging upside down from the trees...watch for them at your park. I'm not sure if they nest like squirrels though...I've never seen them that far up. Maybe they furrow? I'm guessing you did NOT leave you pears out there! thanks for your help last week!
